Why BigBong?
Although some people believe it’s a silly joke, Bong is my real first name… And given the peculiar definitions of the word in the USA, it’s probably worth mentioning that it was given by my godfather, who happens to be Korean. The hanja he chose is 鳳, which means the ‘phoenix’.
I am the eldest in my family, and it was my sister who first began calling me ‘Big Bong’, a combination of ‘big bro’ and my name. Interestingly, ‘Bong’ also means ‘big brother’ in Khmer (បង).
What do I do for a living?
I’m working as an audiovisual content creator and social media expert in the field of education.

What are my hobbies?
I’m not very good at it, but I really enjoy singing and playing the guitar. Badminton takes the top spot as my favorite individual sport, and for team sports, I’m all about basketball! Traveling, particularly backpacking, is a significant part of my life. I absolutely love hiking and mountain biking. In addition to all that, I have a strong passion for photography, a family tradition passed down from my grandfather to me and my brother. Feel free to check out my photography portfolio.
Academic background
I obtained a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Montreal (UdeM) in Canada, and a Bachelor’s degree in international affairs from Sorbonne Paris Cité University (USPC) in France.
